Free school lunches
Is your child entitled to ‘Free School Meals’ & ‘Pupil Premium’ to help their education?
At Prendergast Ladywell a hot healthy lunch costs £2.30 per day (£11.50 per week).
If your family receives any of these benefits, your child may be entitled to receive free school meals, which could save you over £400 a year!
- income support
- income-based jobseeker’s allowance or employment and support allowance
- child tax credit only – income below £16,190
- guarantee element of pension credit
- support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
Once applications are approved, money is automatically applied to pupil's accounts for them to spend in the canteen each day.
In addition to free school meals, your child’s school will also receive extra money, up to £1320.00 per year, (pupil premium) which will be used to benefit your child.
