Results for Academic Year 2017 - 2018

Results at Prendergast Ladywell School have improved again, for the 4th consecutive year!

We are delighted with the strong academic performance of so many of our students.

Prendergast Ladywell Students have achieved 54% grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics. This represents an increase of 7% on our 2017 outcomes, and a 12% increase on our 2016 outcomes.

30% achieved at 5 and above in English and Maths, an increase of 4% on the previous year.

24% of students secured a standard pass and 15% achieved a strong pass in the EBACC qualification which includes good GCSE’s in English, Mathematics, Science, and two of MFL, Computing, History and Geography.

There were some exceptional results by individual students:

Seth Harris, 16, achieved  grade 9 in maths, 9 in English literature, 9-9 in Science, 9 in History as well as 2x grade 8’s and a grade 7.

Fellow student David Bolarinwa,16, achieved a 9 in maths, 9-9 in Science, 7 in English Literature, 8 in Geography plus 3x grade 7’s.

Another, Anna Nicholl-Dowell  also 16, achieved 8 in maths, 8-8 in Science, 7 in English Literature, 7 in English Language and 3 more grade 7’s including Geography Spanish and Music.

Our students have been successful in securing their place on their preferred A Level courses of study, with the Prendergast Federation Sixth Form the destination of choice for most.

All Prendergast Ladywell students have clear and supported progression routes to Post 16 provision in schools, colleges or through apprenticeships.

A number of subjects performed particularly well, of note are the outcomes in:

GCSE @  4+

  • Music - 91%
  • PE - 81%
  • French - 80%
  • Spanish – 79%
  • History - 67%
  • Mathematics - 64%
  • English Literature - 63%
  • English Language - 63%

BTEC @ Pass+

  • Performing Arts – 93%
  • Health and Social Care – 89%
  • Sport – 81%
