Maria-Theresa Rembert
Co-opted Governor
Maria-Theresa has spent the past 20 years working in and alongside schools across South London, building strong connections with the communities they serve. She is passionate about the difference a great education can make in young people’s lives and the importance of schools as places where children feel valued, supported and inspired to achieve.
She began her career as a teacher before moving into school leadership and later into the training, coaching and development of teachers, mentors and school leaders. Her work has focused on strengthening teaching practice, developing the people who support and lead teachers, and helping educators make the greatest possible difference to the pupils they teach.
Throughout her career, Maria-Theresa has been committed to recognising and building on the strengths, aspirations and potential of young people and their communities. She brings experience in teaching and learning, school improvement, safeguarding and programme leadership.
As a governor, she looks forward to bringing her experience and perspective to the governing body, working collaboratively with school leaders to offer support and constructive challenge, champion inclusive education and help every child flourish, both in school and beyond.
