Statement of Results - Academic Year 2020-21
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the GCSE, BTEC and Cambridge National results for our Year 11 students in the academic year 2020-2021 have been awarded using; Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs), and Qualification Level Teacher Assessed Grades (Q-TAGs) for BTEC courses.
It is important we all recognise the value of these grades awarded to our students this year. These grades represent teachers’ professional evaluation and judgement of each students’ knowledge and skills in each of their subjects. We value what our Year 11 students have achieved and the progress they have made at Prendergast Ladywell School.
Due to the way in which grades have been awarded, there will be no recording or reporting of performance measures by the Department of Education, this has been suspended for the 2020-2021 GCSE, BTEC and Cambridge National outcomes.
It is therefore not appropriate to celebrate these awards in the ways we have done in the past, reporting our Progress against the National Benchmark, or the % of grades at different thresholds.
We do, however, want to publicly recognise the exceptional results by some of our students:
